Why RhizoWorks Took Root

An apothecary has a way of growing beyond its shelves.

A jar of dried herbs becomes part of a formula. That formula changes after a few batches. A tincture is started, moved, strained, bottled, and eventually used or sold. Somewhere along the way, the notes that explain what happened can end up in three different places.

I wanted one place to keep those connections together.

RhizoWorks began in my own working apothecary, among drawers of herbs, supplies, formulas, and preparations in progress. It grew into a way to track inventory, preserve formula history, plan production, and follow the details of a batch from ingredients to finished units.

It’s currently in private beta, where real herbalists can help me find what works well and what needs more attention. I’ll share more here as it grows.

Ancient Roots. Modern Practice.
